About Our School
Welcome to Pajiro Memorial Secondary School, Umuachoro Itu, Ezinihitte Mbaise, Imo State. Since its establishment in September 2018, the school has remained committed to its motto “Ferrant Secum Scientia et Artes” - Empowering with Knowledge and Skills. Guided by our slogan “PMSS Never Fails,” we continue to nurture students who are academically sound, morally upright, and fully prepared for the future. At Pajiro, we believe every child is a dream come true, destined for greatness.
Pajiro Memorial Secondary School (PMSS) was founded by Rev. Fr. Dr. Adolphus Iroegbu of Umuachoro Itu, in memory of his parents and grandfather, whose names are immortalized in the acronym PAJIRO: PA from Paulina (his mother), JI from Jiakponna (his father), and IRO from Iroegbu (his grandfather). Academic activities officially commenced on the 17th of September 2018 with 12 pioneering students, four permanent teaching staff, and five part-time staff. Today, the school has grown to over one hundred vibrant students and continues to expand with excellent facilities and dedicated personnel.
Located at the heart of Umuachoro, the school is bordered by the Hand Maids Juniorate Amumara to the north, Afor Okpu in Itu to the south, Akurubi Itu to the east, and Umunnabe village to the west. Pajiro is fully accredited by the government of Imo State, with registration number Ez/733, and proudly prepares students for external examinations.
Our school uniforms distinguish students at both junior and senior levels, with smartly designed check patterns and crested shirts, complemented by sportswear for physical activities. Pajiro students embody discipline, excellence, and pride in their appearance.

Admission
Admission into Pajiro Memorial Secondary School is strictly based on merit. Prospective students are required to sit for an entrance examination comprising Mathematics, English Language, General Knowledge, and an oral interview. Successful candidates are offered placement into the appropriate class. Application forms are available at the school premises and can also be requested via the school’s official email.
Our Facilities
The school is well equipped with modern facilities that create a conducive environment for learning. The completed buildings include a one-story and a two-story block, which house classrooms, the principal’s office, staffroom, vice principal’s office, computer room, and library. The school also has a science laboratory, technical workshop, and standard conveniences. A borehole ensures regular water supply, while standby generator plants provide electricity. Pajiro also owns a school bus to support students’ transportation needs.
In line with our mission to make education accessible, the school operates a scholarship scheme for exceptional students and provides financial assistance to children from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Departments
Pajiro Memorial Secondary School offers comprehensive learning across multiple departments to ensure holistic development. The Nursery/Crèche and Primary Sections provide a strong foundation in literacy, numeracy, and creativity. The Secondary Section covers both Junior and Senior levels, with a strong focus on sciences, technology, and character formation. The Computer Section equips students with modern ICT skills, while the Skill Acquisition Section offers practical training in tailoring, catering, and crafts to prepare students for future careers.
